Signs of a Turnaround

A shift is happening in the market, and it is one worth talking about.

After a steady but cautious winter, the past few weeks have told a different story. Open for inspections are busier. Enquiries are up. And the connection buyers are showing to the homes coming to market feels noticeably stronger than it did just a month or two ago. This weekend's auctions only reinforced that – results carried the kind of energy that makes you take notice.

Is this a turnaround? It's early days, but the signs are certainly pointing that way.

What's driving it comes down to one word: clarity. Buyers finally have a clearer picture of where the market stands, and rather than waiting on the sidelines, they're moving, recognising that the opportunities available right now won't necessarily last. At the same time, vendors have done their own recalibrating. Expectations have settled in line with reality, and that alignment is making a real difference – smoother negotiations, more considered offers, and results that reflect genuine market value rather than wishful thinking.

When buyers and vendors are reading from the same page, good things tend to happen. That is exactly where we find ourselves heading into spring.

Growing confidence, clearer buyer intent, and vendors who understand the landscape they're selling into – all the ingredients for a strong spring are in place. If the current pattern continues, this could well be the standout season many have been waiting for.
