Cycle to break the cycle of poverty

REACH Siem Reap, a Cambodian-based charity founded by Australian Emily Williamson, is dedicated to helping local families break the cycle of intergenerational poverty. The power to change their lives lies in the hands of people who are in a position to give. When you fundraise and ride for REACH, you become a member of their global community, making lifelong connections with like-minded individuals who share your passion for making a lasting impact.
After a previous Ride to REACH event, Emily spoke to the participants and shared, "The overwhelming positive feedback from the riders was truly heartening. It was incredibly moving to hear participants describe the experience as life-changing, each with their own unique story but all sharing similar themes. They felt challenged, connected, grounded, and rewarded—a powerful combination that left them with hearts full and a renewed sense of purpose."
Funds raised from this charity event go towards supporting the ongoing operations of the REACH community centre in Siem Reap. They operate 12 programs six days a week, providing a safe place for more than 140 guardians and 270 children to access essential services such as education, healthcare, nutrition, and ongoing holistic support from the REACH team. When you participate in the ride, these families will receive the tools they need to break free from the cycle of poverty.
The journey begins with welcome drinks in Kampot, followed by eight days of riding out of the 11-day trip, covering anywhere between 50-110 kilometres per day throughout the 'Kingdom of Wonder'. Regardless of your fitness level, the Ride to REACH is suited for everyone, whether you're a seasoned cyclist or a novice. Not at all a race, this transformative tour through Cambodia promises to be the adventure of a lifetime.
