As the end of the financial year approaches, a tax-deductible donation before June 30 is an opportunity to make a real and lasting difference. With the support of the Gandel Foundation, all donations made this EOFY will be matched, helping Koala Kids double their impact across Victoria and Tasmania.
Over the past year, Koala Kids has brought moments of happiness to more than 600 families, both in hospital and at home. From monthly themed activity kits to therapeutic comfort items, birthday smash cakes and festive holiday gifts, every gesture is thoughtfully designed to spark joy, distract from discomfort, and remind children and their families that they are not alone.
Kat Morris, whose daughter Novalie has been receiving treatment for over four years, says Koala Kids has been a constant source of comfort throughout their journey. “There are toys, crafts, toiletries, a lucky dip prize for enduring a difficult procedure, smash cakes for celebrations… even Christmas gifts and a meal when we had nothing else organised,” she shares. “Some people don’t know that parents are with their child 24/7 in hospital and they aren’t provided meals. Having Koala Kids in the Children’s Cancer Centre meant there was always something there if we hadn’t had time to prepare.”
