Dear Mercer Community,

We’re pleased to share the latest construction update for Mercer.

Following our previous update, we have been working diligently with the builder as the previously advised completion date will soon pass. Unfortunately, the international shipping delays we referenced earlier continue to impact the project. This has delayed the arrival of key materials and, in turn, affected the builder’s internal trades.
Following a recent meeting with the design team and the builder, the anticipated Practical Completion (PC) date has been revised to September 2026.
 
We fully acknowledge the frustration this delay continues to cause, particularly with the uncertainty it creates around planning your move or coordinating the sale of another property. 
Please be assured we are actively working with the builder to explore every opportunity to expedite the remaining works without compromising quality or resorting to alternative materials.
 
Current Construction Progress
Pleasingly, solid progress continues across the site: 
• All inground services, rough ins, roofing, building wrap, stairs, windows, masonry, and external waterproofing are complete 
• Fire rated shaft liner between townhouses is installed 
• In wall sanitary fittings are complete 
• All bathroom waterproofing works are completed and tested 
• Lift installation is complete with the exception of commissioning 
• External cladding and render is nearing completion 
• Internal plastering is nearing completion 
• All floors are levelled in preparation for floorboard and carpet installation 
• Balcony paving is continuing 
• Pergola metalwork installation is continuing 
• Tiling, joinery, painting, and timber floor installation are continuing 
• Shower screens are measured and ordered 
• Stone for kitchen and vanity are measured 
• Boundary fencing works will start next week 
• Hard landscape works will start next week
 
We continue to work closely with the builder to accelerate progress where possible. This includes monitoring the builder’s revised schedule daily, coordinating concurrent trades to help regain time, and expediting all final occupancy and compliance certificates.
 
We will continue to provide regular updates leading up to settlement.
Please see below for the latest photos from site. At this stage, construction completion at Mercer is now anticipated by September 2026.

The revised timeframe reflects the time required to complete the remaining construction works, building commissioning, final authority approvals and registration processes required prior to settlement.

Please note that the anticipated timing above is subject to favourable conditions or unforeseen delays. We will continue to provide you with regular construction updates leading up to settlement.

We understand that the lead-up to settlement for off-the-plan purchasers may be confusing. There are many different parties involved and it is not always clear whom you should contact.

Please understand that an exact settlement date cannot be provided until the Plan of Subdivision has been registered and the Certificate of Occupancy achieved.
