Boroondara Sales Specialist
Tom Willson’s journey with Marshall White began in 2015 when he first stepped through the doors for work experience, gaining early exposure to the standards, discipline and client focus that have long defined the Marshall Whites reputation in premium real estate. What began over a decade ago an introduction to the industry quickly developed into a clear career path, and over the past decade Tom has built a strong presence across Hawthorn, Hawthorn East and Kew.
Tom commenced his career in property management, developing a comprehensive understanding of the operational side of residential real estate. Starting as an assistant in the rental department, he progressed through the business to become a Senior Property Manager. This experience provided Tom with a detailed understanding of property performance, landlord expectations and the day to day realities of property ownership, insights that continue to inform his advice to clients today.
Alongside his early experience in the industry, Tom studied Property and Real Estate at Deakin University. His academic training strengthened the analytical and strategic approach he now brings to every campaign, combining formal study with practical market experience and a clear understanding of buyer behaviour and negotiation dynamics.
Tom has continued to invest in his professional development throughout his career. In 2021 he studied a Diploma of Leadership and Management, further strengthening his ability to guide clients through complex decisions and coordinate successful campaigns. In 2023 he was recognised as a Novice Auctioneers Award Finalist, reflecting his growing capability in the high-pressure environment of auction competition. In 2025 Tom achieved his Licensed Estate Agent qualification, a milestone that recognises both his experience and his commitment to the profession.
Today Tom works closely alongside Stuart Evans and Duane Wolowiec, two of Boroondara’s most respected agents who together bring more than fifty years of experience in the local market. Being part of this environment provides Tom’s clients with the benefit of both daily buyer engagement and the strategic insight that comes from decades of successful campaigns.
Tom is particularly recognised for his ability to connect with buyers. His industry-leading approach delivers exceptional attention to detail on every campaign, ensuring each property is carefully positioned to generate genuine engagement and competitive interest. From the moment he steps inside a property, Tom already has buyers in mind. This allows him to market every home strategically, targeting purchasers he knows are ready to act while also reaching new buyers entering the market.
Maintaining an active database of qualified purchasers, Tom speaks with buyers daily and closely tracks their search criteria and readiness to act. This constant engagement allows him to introduce the right opportunities at the right time, often generating early momentum well before key campaign milestones.
Recognised as Salesperson of the Year 2025 (MWO), Tom combines a strong work ethic with calm, practical advice. Clients value his transparency, responsiveness and the confidence of knowing their campaign is being managed by someone fully immersed in the Boroondara market.
Outside of real estate, Tom enjoys an active lifestyle and making the most of everything Melbourne has to offer. He loves travelling and exploring new places and cultures, and closer to home enjoys discovering Melbourne’s vibrant food and dining scene. A passionate sports fan, Tom is a regular attendee at many of the city’s biggest events including the Australian Open and AFL matches, embracing the energy and atmosphere that make Melbourne one of the world’s great sporting cities.
