The Queen’s Birthday long weekend followed by the long, mid-year school holidays generally goes hand-in-hand with less property offered for sale – a situation that has been amplified this year with many vendors reticent to sell during a federal election campaign. As a result, less volume has transacted and early spring is expected to bring forth many of those opportunities that may otherwise have surfaced earlier. In the meantime, the quiet times have arrived a littler earlier than expected. That said, many solid results have still been obtained for those tackling the current market.
