Door-knocking to Dream Purchase
After keen buyers and the Marshall White team door knocked entire streets in Brighton, a couple’s home dream was finally secured.
After keen buyers and the Marshall White team door knocked entire streets in Brighton, a couple’s dream home was finally secured.
The home at 4 Horton Close in Brighton was sold at auction for $3.18 million in a keen contest between four bidders, but the successful bidders were not going to let this one get away.
Marshall White Brighton agent Alyce Fleming had been working with the couple for close to a year after meeting them at an open house.
“The buyers had a very strict buying criteria and wanted a property between number 56 – 100 Head Street in Brighton or between Glencairn and Sunlight Avenues in Brighton East,” said Alyce.
“Basically they wanted to buy around either of the two main parks in Bayside – Elsternwick and Dendy Parks,” she said.
The buyers drove the streets and ear marked properties for Alyce to call however sadly nothing came of any of the calls or door knocks as this is a very tightly held area in Brighton.
“this was a property on their wish list – in fact they had knocked on the door of this exact home only months prior but nobody was at home”
Due to the reach of Marshall White’s network, agent Andrew Campbell listed the property on Horton Close and Alyce immediately notified her buyers.
“I let the buyers know before the home was published online and fortunately this was a property on their wish list – in fact they had knocked on the door of this exact home only months prior but nobody was at home,” said Alyce.
The home enjoys views across Elsternwick Park and on land of 652 square metres approx. The couple plans to demolish the existing 1960s residence and start planning their new home.
