With a diverse family background of Italian and Slovenija origin, Walter is fluent in both languages, and has a great appreciation for different cultures and walks of life. Walter grew up in Richmond, and currently resides in Hawthorn with wife Natasha and son Guy.

Walter enjoys keeping fit by running, and his interests include films, travelling overseas, football, soccer, and spending time with his family.
