After a long and successful career as events manager at Harry the Hirer no-one would have been more surprised at his move into real estate than John himself. But it’s proved an extremely natural fit.

During his time as a Sales Executive, John has exceeded all expectations, quickly becoming a top performer within the Marshall White team. Claiming a 100 per cent strike rate as an auctioneer, his organisational skills, attention to detail, strong negotiation skills, his ability to communicate at all levels, calm nature and infectious sense of humour have become his trademark.

You could say he’s been kicking goals, which is nothing new for John who has played AFL football for Richmond. His relationship with the Tigers continues but of late it’s been as a sponsor of the Malvern Tigers Junior Basketball Club. He takes a keen interest in the sporting interests of his three young boys. He is an assistant coach of their football team and also the major sponsor of the East Malvern Knights Junior Football Club.

Perhaps it’s symptomatic of his football days, but John has trouble sitting still. He runs, swims and rides, often all at once competing in triathlons. And in summer when most sensible people are lying on the beach taking it easy, John’s out there surfing with the boys. If the Tigers ever come calling again he’s certainly match fit!
