The record price of $7.61 million he achieved for auctioning the Moss Estate in Brighton in 2005 was surpassed a year later when he sold the Ansett Estate in Mount Eliza for a new Victorian record price of $14.5 million. James has also sold the highest priced property in Elwood and in 2009 he established the record for the highest price for Glen Iris in Boroondara with the auction of 31 Howard Street for $3.4 million.

James has established longstanding relationships with an enviable list of clients including Equity Trustees for whom he sells many significant properties throughout Victoria. He is passionate about selling property and the auction system and strives to give outstanding personal service.
